華僑銀行:本港2月有7.1萬人離境創疫情以來最多 人才外流風險升溫
華僑銀行經濟師謝棟銘發表報告,指隨着本港Covid-19死亡率不斷上升(每10萬個人中有2.3人死亡),加上缺乏健康的勞動人口(對病毒呈陰性的)以確保經濟活動的順利運行,香港持續受到惡化中的疫情打擊,零售銷售和採購經理人指數(PMI)等數據已經開始反映出疫情未得到控制而造成的經濟損失。香港2月PMI在收縮區進一步下滑至42.9,爲2020年4月以來的最低值。反映部分收緊社交距離措施的影響。
另香港1月份零售銷售的按年增長由2021年12月的6.1%放緩至4.1%。與此同時,2月份有71,000人離開香港,是自新冠大流行開始以來的最大流出量,表明人才外流的風險越來越大。所有這些都挑戰該行對本港2022年GDP增長2.7%的預測。
