开拓药业(09939.HK)公布中期业绩：多个在研药物已取得开始临床试验批准
格隆汇 8 月 21日丨开拓药业(09939.HK)公布中期业绩，公司目前并无批准进行商业销售的药物，亦无自药物销售产生任何收益。自成立起未录得盈利，且每年均录得经营亏损。截至2019年及2020年止六个月，我们的亏损及全面亏损总额分别为人民币9850万元及人民币1.954亿元。公司于上述期间的经调整亏损及全面亏损总额经加回上市开支及雇员激励计划项下以股份为基础的薪酬开支后分别为人民币9550万元及人民币1.637亿元。公司绝大部分的经营亏损均来自研发成本及行政开支。
其他收入主要包括银行存款利息收入及政府补助。其他收入由截至2019年6月30日止六个月的人民币410万元增加人民币40万元或10.7%至截至2020年6月30日止六个月的人民币450万元，主要是由于报告期间的银行存款增加导致银行存款利息收入增加人民币180万元，部分被(i)主要因政府补助于有关成本产生及标准满足时确认而致使与研发活动有关的政府补助减少人民币80万元及(ii)因金融资产购买协议已于2019年4月结束，故按摊余成本计量的金融资产的利息收入减少人民币60万元所抵销。
截至2019年及2020年6月30日止六个月，公司的研发开支分别约为人民币8940万元及人民币1.484亿元。研发成本的增加主要是由于推进(i)在中国进行普克鲁胺单药及与阿比特龙联合用药治疗mCRPC的III期临床试验；(ii)在美国进行福瑞他恩的Ib期临床试验；(iii)在台湾进行ALK-1的II期临床试验；及(iv)雇用更多的研发员工以支持我们发现及开发创新药物不断增长的需求。
公告称，公司正在为位于中国、美国、巴西及台湾的在研药物进行多中心临床试验。公司已采取多种措施来减轻COVID-19疫情对公司进行中的临床试验所造成的影响，该等措施包括：藉助快递为已招募患者提供所研究的药物，及在已招募患者通常到访的医疗中心无法提供服务时为彼等安排至其他医疗中心进行检查。就公司核心产品的开发及商业化而言，公司部分进行中试验的新患者招募略有推迟。于截至2020年6月30日止六个月，公司并未且预计不会严重偏离公司的药物开发、生产及商业化计划，而公司核心产品的预期开发进度已计及因COVID-19疫情导致公司进行中的临床试验的暂时推迟及中断。
截至2020年6月30日，公司已开发出五种在研药物，已在中国、美国、巴西及╱或中国台湾取得开始临床试验批准。该等临床阶段在研药物包括一种III期小分子在研药物、一种II期小分子在研药物、一种II期单克隆抗体在研药物、一种I期mTOR抑制剂在研药物及一种hedgehog信号转导途径抑制剂(公司已于2020年2月获得IND批准)。
