传中方寻求贸谈把贸易及国家安全问题分开处理
《华尔街日报》引述消息报道,中国正寻求缩窄中美贸易谈判范围,只谈判贸易议题而避开国家安全问题,试图打破僵局,并解决部分即时问题。
报道指,双方仍对如何解除关税、中国保护知识产权、美国设定投资限制及中国国企问题意见分歧。中方试图把贸易及地缘政治竞争分开或使美国难以接受,双方亦将在贸易及国家安全问题界定上存在分歧,尤其美国已把华为列入黑名单,与及中国视数据传送及云计算为国家安全问题。
报道又指,中方认为时间对他们有利,因为美国总统特朗普面临连任压力,但中方仍希望取得协议,以稍为缓解经济压力。
