国泰航空中期盈利13亿港元 预计8月后收益将显著受压

8月22日,国泰航空(0293.HK)2019年中期报告发布。

  今年上半年,国泰航空实现收益535.47亿港元,较去年同期增长0.9%;实现股东应占溢利13.47亿港元,去年同期则亏损2.63亿港元。

  客运方面,国泰航空的成绩较去年有所上涨。今年上半年,国泰航空的乘客载运率为84.2%,与去年持平。

  今年上半年,国泰航空客运收益率下降0.9%,报告称,这反映头等及商务客舱和长途航班的经济客舱竞争激烈、过境旅客数量增加及不利的汇率变动。

  货运方面,则有所下降。今年上半年,国泰航空的货物运载率为63.4%,较去年同期的68.3%下降4.9个百分点;货运收益为114.98亿港元,较2018年同期减少11.4%,反映环球贸易转差。

  在燃油成本方面,国泰航空及国泰港龙航空的燃油成本总额(未计燃油对冲的影响)较2018年上半年减少6.47亿港元(减少4.5%),反映平均飞机燃油价格下跌6.5%及耗油量增加2%。燃油是国泰航空集团最大的成本,占2019年上半年营业成本总额的28.2%(2018年同期为30.1%)。

  对于今年下半年的前景展望,国泰航空主席史乐山在半年报中表示,“近期进行的品牌重塑,反映我们勇于挑战标准及现状的决心,为了顾客和股东的利益,志在飞跃,做到最好。我对前景仍然充满信心……我们会继续投放大量资源,以加强香港作为亚洲最大国际航空枢纽的地位。”

  国泰航空及国泰港龙航空在7月共载客327.87万人次,较去年同期增加4.0%,乘客运载率下跌0.6个百分点至86.1%。

  国泰航空及国泰港龙航空7月运载的货物及邮件合共16.97万吨,较去年同期减少8.2%,运载率下跌7.2个百分点至63.1%。

  国泰航空顾客及商务总裁林绍波表示,“我们预计8月及往后的收益将显著受压。来港的商务及旅游的客运需求大幅减少,亦有见离港的客运量开始回软,尤以短途航班为甚,包括中国内地、中国台湾、韩国和东南亚的航线。”

  林绍波表示,回顾7月份的表现,暑假高峰期首月的客运需求强劲,运载率依然高企,其中印度及中国台湾的航线持续表现理想。然而,激烈的市场竞争及过境旅客比例增加,令收益率持续受压。北美、欧洲及中国内地航班表现较为逊色。
