As of May 10, 2024, a total of 37 companies in the US capital market have been listed on Nasdaq/NYSE by merging with the SPAC. Apart from five companies selecting to list on NYSE, the rest chose Nasdaq for listing, demonstrating preference of the SPAC market.
The 37 listed companies have a combined market value of more than $22 billion, with the top seven having a market value of more than $1 billion. Among them, Geely Holding Group's sports car brand, Lutus Technology (LOT. Nasdaq), is worth well over $6 billion; core founding members from Bitmain's BitRich (FUFU. Nasdaq) is listed at $1.5 billion.
Among the other enterprises, the issuance market value except two or three enterprises is all worth less than $100M USD, and the rest are all more than 100 million US dollars, while the lowest issuance market value is 50 million US dollars. There seems to be a trend of many medium-sized enterprises and less large and small enterprises.
In addition, the sectors involved in with the merger with SPAC from the 37 enterprises are the following : real estate, big health, traditional industrial enterprises, technology, autonomous driving, new energy, financial insurance, media entertainment, food and beverage and tourism.
