陳茂波:第五波疫情無可避免短期影響本港經濟活動
財政司司長陳茂波預料,今年本港經濟會繼續擴張,但第五波疫情對經濟造成沉重壓力,削弱市場對前景的信心,加上社交距離措施限制,無可避免對本地經濟活動造成短期影響。
陳茂波以視像形式出席立法會大會會議時稱,政府已推出新一輪防疫抗疫基金支援受疫情影響的行業及人士,相信只要社會配合防疫工作,必可控制好疫情,爲經濟復甦創造條件。
陳茂波提到,旅遊業是疫情下最受影響的行業之一,當疫情轉穩後,政府會以疫苗通行證爲基礎,儘量讓旅遊設施及本地旅行團有序重開及恢復。香港會盡快先與內地及澳門通關,然後與海外經濟體有秩序恢復往來。
另外,陳茂波指,雖然現時本地成本壓力仍然有限,但外圍價格壓力增加,會推高本地通脹,需要關注個別消費項目價格或會受疫情影響。
