渣打:本港第三季失業率或升至逾6%
政府統計處公布,本港經季節性調整的失業率由今年1月至3月的4.2%,上升至今年2月至4月的5.2%, 創逾十年高。
渣打大中華區高級經濟師劉健恆表示,本港最新公布的失業情況較預期更差,顯示減少社交接觸的措施對多個不同行業都造成影響,預計失業率在未來幾個月仍會繼續上升,甚至在第三季有機會升穿6%,超過全球金融危機期間的5.5%高位。
他指,由於減少社交接觸的措施預計仍會實施一段時間,本地示威活動則有重現活躍的跡象,香港經濟短期內仍會繼續受壓,預計香港今年的本地生產總值將按年倒退7.2%。
