New Special Energy (01799.HK) issued a profit warning, and its net profit is expected to range from 4.2 billion to 4.4 billion yuan, a sharp decrease of 67% per cent year-on-year. Mainly affected by the changes in the relationship between supply and demand in the market, the average selling price of polysilicon in the group decreased by about 60%, and the impairment of fixed assets was estimated to be about 520 million yuan due to the aging of the production line.
