uSMART Securities Won ETNet FinTech Awards - Outstanding Smart (AI) Investment Mobile App Award
(13 January 2021) uSmart Securities Limited (“uSMART Securities”) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the “FinTech Awards - Outstanding Smart (AI) Investment Mobile App” from ETNet at the “FinTech Awards 2020” awards ceremony this year. The award was presented to recognize the outstanding achievements made by uSMART Securities’ innovation in the fintech industry and for utilizing fintech to provide an excellent trading experience for their customers.
The "FinTech Awards 2020" was organized by ETNet, which aim to provide a platform for benchmarking innovators of the fintech industry and for providing participants with networking opportunities to form strong strategic business alliances. In the midst of the global pandemic, companies have increased their investment in the fintech industry, which has helped accelerate digitalization within enterprises. The demand for digital platforms and other fintech-related services has rapidly increased, prompting many financial service institutions to increase their fintech-related R&Ds and investments. As fintech gradually becomes more well known to the public, it has changed the public’s perceptions and views on the traditional financial industry, and has helped shape new trends for payments, transfers and savings. The theme of the awards ceremony was "Shaping a Sustainable FinTech Future", with the hope to bring together public institutions, business enterprises, as well as academic and scientific research elites, in order to encourage them to continue to innovate, and promote new types of services using fintech to the public. All in all, the hope is that an increase in public awareness will help facilitate new digital transformations.
The awards at the ceremony were divided into multiple categories, such as artificial intelligence, big data solutions and etc. The judging panel comprised of esteemed experts in the fintech industry including Dr. Winnie Tang, JP, Founder and Honorary President of Smart City Consortium, Ir. Peter Yeung, Head of Electronics & ICT Clusters of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and Ir. Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission Office of Hong Kong Cyberport.
