Warrant is an instrument that entitles the holder to buy or sell the underlying stock of the issuing company at a fixed price called exercise price until the expiry date. Warrant is a popular listed product in HK stocks. Like CBBC, it is a derivative financial instrument with leverage. Warrant is divided into “call” warrant and “put” warrant. When investors are optimistic that the value of an asset will rise during the term of the warrant, they will buy the “call” warrants of the relevant assets; when they believe the value of the asset will drop, they will choose the “put” warrant.
