與特斯拉匹敵Rivian再傳上市,尋求800億美元的估值

一段時間以來,人們除了關注原本計劃6月正式交付現推遲至9月的Rivian R1T外,更多的關注點則在於Rivian上市的消息能否兌現。
近日有消息傳出,獲亞馬遜和福特汽車參與投資的高端電動汽車初創公司Rivian,已向SEC祕密提交了上市文件,並準備於今年11月在美國資本市場上市,Rivian此次上市尋求估值800億美元,該公司擬發行的規模和價格範圍尚未確定。
基於Rivian所追求的估值,如果其此次上市成功,可能將會成爲汽車企業有史以來規模最大的IPO之一。
Rivian成立於2009年,自成立以來尚未售出一款汽車,儘管如此,該車企依然在資本界受到廣泛的關注,Rivian在融資方面共完成8輪融資,籌集了105億美元。
投資方除了亞馬遜、福特汽車外,還包括T. Rowe Price、黑石資本、索羅斯基金管理公司、對衝基金Coatue、投資公司D1 Capital Partners和Fidelity管理與研究公司等。

值得注意的是,Rivian計劃在美國的德克薩斯州沃思堡附近建立一家新工廠。據悉,該工廠面積爲2000英畝,將會在2027年創造至少7500個工作崗位,每年生產約20萬輛汽車,工廠工人的最低平均年薪爲5.6萬美元,約合人民幣36萬元一年。
目前,Rivian現在有兩款車型正在推向量產,分別是電動SUV R1S和電動皮卡R1T。SUV R1S外觀與路虎攬勝極爲相似,也是特斯拉麪臨的最大威脅,根據電池組的選擇,Rivian R1S承諾一次充電可行駛240至410英裏。這比特斯拉Model X要遠得多,後者只能行駛237到295英裏。

另一方面, Rivian R1T於2019年正式亮相,新車補貼前售價爲69000美元。皮卡作爲消費汽車最爲賺錢的一部分,特斯拉也緊緊咬住這一商機,2019年推出了旗下純電動皮卡Cypertruck,相比Rivian價格更低。

雖然造型奇葩,但是自打特斯拉發佈Cybertruck電動皮卡式發佈後的第三天,其訂單總數就已經超過了20萬輛;而在2020年2月份,Cybertruck的訂單量已經飛昇至50萬輛,大約在 2021 年底正式開賣。
