纽约联储总裁料整体通胀在短期波动下仍然温和
美国纽约联储总裁威廉斯(John Williams)表示,美国经济将从疫情复苏,美国通胀短期将出现波动,但整体物价升幅仍然温和。若通胀升至过高,美联储亦知道如何处理。他预期通胀整体维持在接近2%的政策目标。
威廉斯指,受惠於美国更多人接种疫苗及财政支援,美国经济正强劲恢复,但失业率仍然高企,经济复苏之路依然漫长,部分行业正面对供应干扰或部分产品需求上升的樽颈。他认为目前过早判断旅游业反弹幅度及民众持续居家工作的比例,但部分疫情带来的长期破坏或已避免。
威廉斯表示,有大量事情仍然不确定,但认为美国经济将回复至全盛时期。
